Fast FireWire Scanning

Our new FireWire interface offers Mac and

Windows users the benefit of super fast scanning

speeds*. Speed can be further increased by

using the built-in JPEG compression engine.

In fact, even without JPEG compression, the

ScanMaker 5700 scans over twice as fast as the

Umax Astrascan 6400f when connected via the

FireWire port.

Tests carried out using Windows 98 with no JPEG compression.

*Windows 98SE/Me/2000 is supported by the supplied FireWire PCI card.

New Easy-Touch OCR Button

Simply press the OCR button on the front of the

scanner and your page will be automatically

scanned, converted to editable text and pasted

into your word processor, all with 99% accuracy.
